From Tenerife to the world: a musical journey spanning more than 25 years
INTRODUCTION
Guitarist, composer, educator, and sound therapist.
I currently reside in Tenerife, where I combine my work as a concert guitarist with music teaching and singing bowl sound therapy sessions. My music ranges from classical guitar to jazz, flamenco and contemporary music, taking my art to stages across Europe, America and Asia.
I have released five albums and am currently working on my sixth, ‘Canta’, where I immerse myself in the world of singer-songwriting accompanied by my inseparable guitar.
THE MUSICAL JOURNEY
I began my musical studies with the piano at the age of 8, discovering the guitar 9 years later. Thanks to my first teacher, the Brazilian Pedro Neto, I gained access to a varied world of sounds: blues, samba, rock, singer-songwriter music, jazz and classical music.
In 2001, I enrolled at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where I completed my intermediate studies in just three years. In 2010, I obtained my degree in classical guitar from the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Canary Islands.
My musical quest took me to Granada, where I worked regularly as a soloist at the Parador de La Alhambra and came into deep contact with flamenco guitar. I later moved to the Netherlands, where I obtained a master's degree in jazz guitar and collaborated on flamenco projects with Rezar Domínguez and Jerónimo Maya.
In 2015, after winning a scholarship from the CajaCanarias Foundation, I began my second master's degree in Contemporary Performance with a concentration in Production at the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Valencia. There, I participated in numerous projects with professors such as Víctor Mendoza, Perico Sambeat, Mariano Steimberg, Sergio Martínez, and Celia Mur.
During my stay in Valencia, I discovered sound therapy, training with Rafa Monsonis and incorporating singing bowls into my musical practice.
